Privacy Policy and Terms of Use
Pavement Project Global is committed to protecting your privacy and using your data appropriately. We store and process all personal information. This statement explains how we collect, use, and store your personal information and its implications for you. It should be read in conjunction with our terms of use.
Why and how we collect information
As a mission partner, we collect and store your data in a secure database to ensure the utmost protection for your information. This is to fulfil our legal, statutory, and contractual obligations and our goals as a non-profit association. This will include registering and fulfilling requests for Bible resources and processing and recording donations. We also use our database for registration, fundraising, promoting the organisation’s interests, and maintaining our accounts.
The personal data we collect may include name, gender, date of birth, home address, personal and business email and phone numbers, cell phone numbers, information related to church, denominational affiliation, family members, and bank details for regular payments.
We collect your data directly from the information you provide through our website and order system, as well as through your phone calls, forms, letters, emails, or the Green Bag / Bolsa Verde / Maletín Verde app. We also indirectly collect data through third-party sources (e.g., donation sites). We may collect information you make available on, for example, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or similar platforms. We also collect non-personal data, such as IP addresses, details of pages visited and files downloaded when you visit our site. Occasionally, we may collect publicly available information from published sources, such as articles, newspapers, or blogs.
How we use your data
We take your privacy seriously and do not share or sell your data to other organisations or make it available without your consent unless required by law. We process your data based on legitimate interests – your involvement and interest in our mission. You have full control over your data; we keep it only as long as necessary for legal or operational needs.
We may use your data to provide personalised service based on your request, history, or geographical location (such as information about a new feature or an invitation to a local event). We may also use your data and, occasionally, publicly available information to better understand you and provide timely and relevant information.
Communications by post
We use your data to share news about our ministry and resources, and to provide opportunities for you to get involved with our work through prayer and giving. If you do not wish to receive our newsletters, occasional feature updates, or resources by mail, please let us know by phone, email, or letter (see addresses below). All of our email communications allow you to opt out of receiving such communications in the future.
Electronic Communications
If you request resources, you will receive emails about your request, any donations you make, and a survey about attendance. You can receive other email communications (including our monthly emails with ministry news, prayer requests, new resources, and campaign news) during the online ordering process or through our website. Except in direct relation to any requests you make, our policy is to send email only if you have indicated that you want electronic communication. All our emails include an option to opt out of future emails from this list.
Communications by phone
If you request funds or make a donation and provide us with your phone number, we may contact you by phone regarding your request or to address any questions you may have about the processing of your donation. If you prefer that we do not contact you by phone for any other purpose, please let us know—see below “How to contact us.”
Other Uses
We may send your data to other agencies to arrange for mailing or other services, and the same privacy rules apply to them. We occasionally compare our data with external databases to ensure its accuracy. This can include, but is not limited to, age, address updates, name changes, and socioeconomic data. Your data will always be treated with the utmost security. Please let us know if you do not wish for us to process your data this manner.
Occasionally, we may rely on volunteers to perform some of our tasks. Their volunteer contracts oblige them to protect your privacy, just as we do. We may be required to disclose your information when necessary by law or regulatory agencies.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to our information about you. If you wish to see your data or believe it to be incorrect or incomplete, please write to us at the email address below. We will respond to your request within 28 days of receiving your communication. Please let us know if you believe your data has been misused or if we have not maintained it securely.
Changes to the Pavement Project Global Privacy Statement
We will periodically update this statement to ensure it complies with current legislation. Please check back regularly to stay informed of any changes.
